Antimicrobial effect of cotton fabric functionalized with a kaolinite-titania nano-hybrid composite

چکیده

It is well known that certain diseases can be transmitted through contact with contaminated surfaces. Due to the structural characteristics and composition, textile products are favorable media for retention, growth, propagation of pathogens, making them potential vehicles contamination. The current health humanitarian crises have highlighted urgent task exploring effective antimicrobial agents help prevent combat emerging microbiological diseases. Based on this, present work investigated activity a cotton fabric functionalized kaolinite-titania nano-hybrid particles. was evaluated against Escherichia coli (Gram-negative) Bacillus cereus (Gram-positive) bacteria. Results show composite enhance photoactivity immobilized TiO2, inducing complete disinfection medium in treated fabric.
